You know how the saying goes support Malaysian goods? You know the latest installment of The Fast and The Furious? Well guess what, the earliest copy of the cinema cam pirated movie came out on Gnutella and other P2P networks early this week from a few sources with the same IP address range and apparently it was recorded in a cinema in Malaysia!
Yellow teeth, something you only find in the Asian version. NOT! Look at the subtitles, tada!
Honestly, really, I got these shots from my own copy of it, but I truthfully only downloaded it to see Vin Diesel’s part which is unfortunately not recorded, so I’m about to delete it anyway as we speak. Moving on, how did I spot this local brand film?
1. The subtitles are not only in BM, it’s also the version written by a Malaysian, I forgot the name but it’s included at the end of the movie, just before the credits roll, you’ll notice it.
2. The screen presumably looks like a cinema 1-3 at a TGV because it has a warped wide screen and center divider for the audience, not found in other local cinemas.
3. I can hear some guy going "bugger so terer!" when Takashi was drifting his 350z up the spiral parking driveway.
4. An excerpt of a Bahasa Malaysia dialogue can be heard for a while during the butt-grabbing scene (I believe)
5. The people wow endlessly at the wrong stuff.
This thing, I’m guessing right now approximately 98 people have copies of it that are on Gnutella 2, needless to say torrent go-ers should have a higher figures. It’s no wonder we’re being blamed for the movie industry’s loss! First we sell them, then we copy them and now we even record them ourselves! Expect to see this version out on the streets, either that or a US version. Either way, it’s coming soon. and that’s bad by the way!
I mean seriously, why do you wanna pirate a movie with Sung Kang in it? The dude’s so good I’d pay for the 35mm copy and watch it over and over again! I’m kind of in a neutral state, I have no idea why a small part of me feels proud but of course the rest says otherwise. You be the judge.
