Today, I woke up at 10am and cooked up some instant noodles. I ate it while channel surfing all the way.
Then I surfed the internet.
A while later, I headed out to go clothes shopping.
Then I went to a pasar malam in Cheras.
After that I met Hadi for 3 sets of foos.
Prior to that I pumped petrol for my car.
In between all these I was driving out and about.
Now that I’m finally home, I’ve just realized that throughout 80% of the whole day I was either looking at, listening to or being presented something, some sound or some image of Michael Jackson.
What an influence this legend has imposed merely by death. It really is a new form of marketing like what a friend of mine quoted. Jokes aside, it looks like the world is either really fretted by his dismay.. or it’s just capitalization.
Either way, he will be missed. Thriller rocks! *head shake gesture*
There is possibly, just too probably that right now at this moment.. something is missing from my life.
I should quit complaining to myself and just be thankful, yes. But the missing piece isn’t something one can buy, trade, learn or obtain that easily. I don’t know what it is.
I should.. no, I shouldn’t go out more often. I should go out with the right people more often.. Once again I am caught in a position where the hot afternoon wind is on my back, I have nothing to do and I don’t know what to do so I start being unappreciative. What hypocrisy.
Well anyways, check out what happens behind the scenes during the making of one of the components to your daily breakfast, the bread.
Ahh, I just love videos that show what really happens in the manufacturing process of something, it’s like entertainment for the people in the same industry!
It’s been a while since I’ve had days like yesterday. Full of fun, laughter and friends! Gotta be really thankful for having a crazy bunch of monkeys (just like myself) around me that can have fun, or else as per what a typical Chinese guy would quote, life would be “damn sien man”.
However let’s recap with the KitchenAid job on Thursday. WK and I are now promoters of KitchenAid and Cuisinart brand kitchen appliances! We’ll be working on and off at various departmental stores which are flooded by unnecessarily rich aunties on certain days of the week until training at the Malaysian Petroleum Club starts in mid July.
So we started out first day off at Robinsons, The Gardens with the Chocolate Coconut Bread. Really it is just the Srolyat recipe for dinner rolls with a coconut and chocolate ganache filling, but little did we know as well kneading the dough with the KitchenAid makes the bread’s texture really soft as compared to kneading it with the ElbowgreaseAid xP No wonder college bread always tastes nice! Never been into the promoting line so I called up Adrian to compare notes as he’s somewhat the senior with his experience with Sony.
Found out I’m being conned of my salary -_- but oh well, the commission and working environment is good. Yes I admit, pursuading a rich old lady to buy a 2500 ringgit mixer can be fun at times. This excludes the occasional SS (sales steal) done by our supervisor which tends to know which customer is about to make a purchase and intercepts them to close the sale even if I’m still talking to the customer. Thanks a lot Miss! Make sure you check your tires before driving off next time!
Hope to gain more experience (and sales!) with the next road show in Pavilion next week, followed by Robinsons once again and hopefully the next one at PWTC You know where to get your KitchenAid and Cuisinart appliances at a discount rate now!
Yes in case you haven’t noticed it yet, this post will be picture deprieved. I like one lar!
Before I talk about yesterday, let me just express my biggest frustration and disappointment towards the Royal Military College, a pretigious school attended by my dad, his friend, and his friend’s son which conned me of a set of used tires. Yes this is closely related to my previous post. Though it is my mistake to pay him before the tires are affixed, I’m rarely cheated by a person who gives out the impression of a disciplined and polite man. I thought RMC would instill some of the best personalities in a person. For those of you who don’t know RMC please do not comment. However at the end of the day I’ve lost my money, but if you’re reading this, know that it’s all worth the money considering the embarrassment you’ve suffered with your family as a result of my mistake of contacting your father.

The day started in the early morning, taking my petite amie WK to SJMC for her second physiotherapy session. Such a pity she has been suffering from a slipped disc from a few months ago and only got about to physio now. Sorry babe! I’d massage you if I could, but then after that you might have slipped discS rather than just a slipped disc xP Kicked the day off with Chee Cheong Fun from Yulek, woohoo! Prawns make me happy xD
Physio this time around was only 20 minutes plus, so we got back home quite quickly. Dropped her home for her rest cause she’ll be needing it for out dinner with the guys later to celebrate Edmond’s graduation! Then headed out to meet the second monkey of the day, Chui Mun for the Times Square visit. Thought I could get some Domo-kun shirts and a pair of DC shoes (yes thanks to Ken Block bodoh marketing works) but of course managed to resist impulsive purchases. Take that Huddy!
Sorry you couldn’t get those pants you were looking for =P I didn’t get my Krispy and Domo stuff as well, so can consider us even. Can’t believe girls can actually spend an average of 1 hour to buy 1 article of clothing O_O That also was not the article of clothing in the original To-Get list! luckily me Kheng Wai is less impulsive than you Miss Mun! Pity Mr ______ next time.. LOL!
So after a mad dash for Serdang because we were both late for something different, headed back to Cheras to pick up WK and we headed off to Jaya One to meet up with Edmond, Adrian and Seh Ming at Jimmy’s new workplace, Two Monkeys for a short and discreet dinner like I said to celebrate his graduation and Very Honorable Pass. Congrats! Food at Two Monkeys was excellent for it’s price, only problem was the service time but with Jimmy in the kitchen I’m not surprised. LOL! Just kidding man!
After dinner all of us except for Seh Ming the antisocial bastard (haha!) went to 7th Floor to meet up with Maynard, Vincent and Hadi. Foosed a few sets with Edmond and irritatingly lost majority thanks to his bloody back man shot mahem! The rest pooled except for the new P license fooser Vincent which joined in one game and irritatingly lost together with me as well. Fat chance man, not many can beat Edmond afterall haha!
Clock strikes 12 sharp and we headed off to Summit for our midnight movie.. Yes you’ve guessed it, the giddyly promoted Transformers and I can’t count how many times I almost fell asleep NOT due to the time. When are movie makers going to learn that graphics itself can’t make a movie good? Oh right, when movie go-ers learn that good movies isn’t just about CGI. For those who recommended Transformers to me, from a storyline prespective, thanks for wasting my 8 bucks!
Movie started late so finished late at around 3, sent WK home and rushed back to Ridzuan to catch Maynard, Vincent and Hadi at Milo shake (codename for mamak nearby Ridzuan) for a not so short yumcha. Feels good to be in that DC circle again and at such a wee hour in the morning, topics tabled are less controversive and more enjoyable. Maybe Maynard is the missing key of bondage in us. Hahahaha!
Left around 5 with Maynard, sent him home not merely to take that CB Triple Decker Cheesecake he kindly saved for a cheesecake enthusiast like me. Apparently my mom likes it too despite the content of a gajillion calories -_- Thanks a lot man, it definetely made my lazy Saturday!
Yes that last one monotonously sums up the blast of a Friday I had yesterday. Never understood TGIF before then, seriously. Thanks a lot everyone! Now to boo in the Sunday prior to Monday when training starts.. Boo.
